Govt Mizo HS Girls Pipe Band Shines as Parade Leaders: A Grateful Journey with Oil India Ltd.

In a remarkable honor, the Govt Mizo HS Girls Pipe Band was invited by Oil India Ltd. to lead the parade for the Republic Day 2024 celebration in Duliajan, Assam. Answering the call, the talented girls’ pipe band journeyed to Duliajan, contributing to a splendid show during the festivities.

The collaboration between Oil India Ltd. and our school’s girls’ pipe band began when the company discovered the group through our school website. Impressed by their talent, Oil India Ltd. extended an invitation, and the girls’ band, along with accompanying students and teachers, seized the opportunity to explore the Oil India center at Digboy. The tour proved to be enriching, offering valuable insights to both students and teachers. Recognizing the potential for future collaborations, Oil India Ltd. expressed their intent to organize excursions for Govt Mizo HS students in various other locations. The school expresses heartfelt appreciation to Oil India Ltd. for providing such exceptional opportunities and recommends seeking support for transportation through their CSR initiatives.

It is worth noting that Govt Mizo High School Girls Pipe Band had previously secured the 2nd Position in the All India School Band Competition in New Delhi back in 2022, adding to their accomplishments.

Departing for Duliajan on January 21, 2024, the Girl Pipe Band is expected to return on January 27, 2024, carrying with them not only the pride of leading the Republic Day parade but also the gratitude of Govt Mizo High School for the generous support from Oil India Ltd.
